They are currently seeking a skilled Windscreen Fitter to join their professional team.

Job Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced and qualified Windscreen Fitter who is dedicated to delivering high-quality service. The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in automotive glass fitting or an equivalent certification, with at least five years of hands-on experience. A valid skill assessment is preferred but not mandatory. The role involves fitting, repairing, and replacing windscreens and other automotive glass, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess damage to windscreens and other automotive glass components, providing accurate repair or replacement estimates.
  • Remove damaged glass and prepare the vehicle for the fitting of new windscreens or other glass components.
  • Install new windscreens and other automotive glass, ensuring they are properly sealed and securely fitted.
  • Use specialized tools and materials to fit windscreens, side windows, and rear windows to a wide range of vehicles.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure installations are watertight, secure, and free of defects.
  • Provide excellent customer service, explaining the work performed and answering any customer questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Keep detailed records of work completed, including parts used and labor time.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualification:

Relevant qualification in automotive glass fitting or an equivalent certification.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in windscreen fitting or automotive glass installation is preferable.

Skill Assessment:

A valid skill assessment is highly desirable but not mandatory.
